Ben-Gurion University of the Negev has moved up twelve places to number 18 on QS’s Top 50 Under 50 for 2015. The ranking is derived from QS World University Rankings which lists the top 800 universities. In addition the University was placed 10th in the index of article citations indicating academic quality.

BGU was the only Israeli university on the Top 50 Under 50 list.

Prof.  Zvi HaCohen, BGU’s Rector, welcomed the figures, saying that every year the University climbs significantly the ranking of the younger universities in the world. According to him, this is a clear testament to the hard work and commitment of BGU’s faculty in the pursuit of excellence, establishing its international reputation as a leading academic institution.
