Join us this Saturday for a special evening of music in remembrance of Phil Woods.
Due to health issues, Phil Woods announced his retirement last month and would not be able to perform at this CD release show. "Live at Chan's" was Phil's last live recording with the Prince of Be Bop, Greg Abate featuring world class all stars Mark Walker-drums, John Lockwood-bass, & Tim Ray-piano. Greg Abate and his all-star band are dedicating the October 3rd performance as a special evening to jazz giant, Phil Woods for his enormous body of work and his contribution to the world of jazz. During Phil's illustrious career, he inspired and mentored many young musicians. Our sympathy to his lovely wife, Jill. Phil Woods, rest in peace.
