October 2015
National Bird Week Exhibition

I would firstly like to thank you for taking an interest in my work, it really means a lot to me.
Please feel free to forward this newsletter on to anyone who may be interested.

My Feathered Heads exhibition finished on Sunday at Adelaide Zoo, but my new exhibition entitled Birds for Bird week will open this coming Monday, especially for BirdLlife Australia's National Bird week.

National Bird week is held each year in October to encourage Australian's to get more involved in bird observation & conservation.  You can also take part in the Great Aussie Bird count where you just need 20 minutes of your time to observe birds in your backyard.  There are great prizes to be won if you take part including the second edition of my Feathered Heads exhibition book.  Full details here.

Adelaide is beginning to feel like a second home with the amount of times I have visited this year!  Whilst I was there this time I popped into a beautiful little cafe shop called E for Ethel, they are an award winning cafe and also sell unique Australian gifts.  I'm please to announce they will be stocking my cards, prints and children's book.   If you live in Adelaide please pop in, they are on Melbourne st, North Adelaide.  They have the best coffee!

My Bonny book is being well received, I have been doing author talks at schools and the children have been captivated with Bonny's story.  Please feel free to contact me if you would like me to come to your Sydney School.

In my last newsletter I mentioned how I had been rehabilitating a Yellow-tail Black Cockatoo called Opal.  She's doing well but needs a flight aviary for her next stage of rehabilitation.  We have set up a crowd fund page to try and raise funds for her, you can read full details here.

I also mentioned how I have been working on my second edition of exhibition book Feathered Heads.  With 12 more birds added, it will be launched next week at my exhibition.  It is only available in a limited edition of 20. The first edition has now sold out!  Preview can be seen here.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read my news, I hope to see you next week at my exhibition, I will be there daily from 12-6pm.
