Fire Investigations 

Electrical Inspections Victoria is licensed by Victoria Police to investigate fires that are suspected to be electrical in origin. We provide these services to Government agencies, Insurance companies, Distribution companies, REC's and the general public. Our specialist investigators are fully trained and have considerable experience in fire and incident investigation.

The Victorian Association of Fire Investigators
 
All investigators employed at EIV are members of the Victorian Association of Fire Investigators (VAFI). VAFI is a not for profit organisation made up of representatives of all fire investigation fields in Victoria and Tasmania.

 The objectives of the association are:

  • To unite for mutual benefit those officials and private persons engaged in the control of arson and kindred crimes
  • To provide for the exchange of technical information and developments
  • To co-operate with other law enforcement agencies and associations to further fire prevention and suppression of crime
  • To encourage high professional standards of conduct among fire investigators and to continually strive to eliminate all factors which interfere with administration of crime suppression.
