The European Commission has made available drafts of most of the Horizon 2020 Work Programmes in the coming cycleof the programmes National Contact Points (NCPs), which, in the case of Israel, is ISERD.  The purpose was to allow the NCPs to consult (directly and specifically) with the relevant experts in their countries about the programmes contents.  The EC demands that the drafts not be circulated and certainly not posted on the Internet.

RDA has been conducting consultations with BGUs experts in the following disciplines:

The Ministry of Environmental Protection - TAIEX workshop

A two-day TAIEX workshop will be held on 12-13 July 2017, which will deal with the implementation of ABS and Access Sharing (ABS) mechanisms in Israel.

The purpose of these mechanisms is to regulate the collection, transfer, and commercial use of genetic resources (plants, animals, etc.) between countries, so that countries that are the source of the genetic material will be able to profit from the benefits derived from it.

To date, the Protocol has been ratified by about 50 countries, including EU countries, and is relevant to all those engaged in research, agriculture, foreign trade, international law, economics, and nature conservation.

Researchers should learn the subject in depth and understand the practical implications of implementing these mechanisms, which are already operating in several countries that have signed and ratified the Convention.
