The British Council and the UK Science and Innovation Network (SIN)- UK-Israel SYNERGY Programme 
 
The Programme aims to strengthen academic collaboration between the UK and Israel in the following priority sectors: Nanoscience, Neuroscience, Agri Science, Water Science,  Cyber and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).
 
The scheme aims to support researchers or research groups looking to hold a two day academic meeting (symposium/workshop) 
 
Note: Grants vary from £4,500 to £8,500, depending on the size of the event and the required amount of co-funding (see page 2 in the below link).

NEW: The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT)
The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT) funds and facilitates laboratory or clinical research projects with the potential to advance knowledge that might lead to a cure for Parkinson’s disease, or that represents a substantial advance in treatment (for example, novel approaches to treatment, or new methods of treatment delivery).

Deadline Extended The Ministry of Defense (Mafat) has issued a call for proposals in military   medicine for 2017: Developing mental and emotional fitness
 
Mafat, in cooperation with the Medical Corps and the Infantry, will provide grants for research on the subject of:  Mental and emotional health in the army and the development of emotional fitness training (primary prevention) to strengthen brain and the body when under stress, and the acquisition of cognitive skills and mental preparation for routine and emergency challenges, while improving performance and preventing disease.

Joy Academic Grants Fund was founded to jump-start, nourish and support scientifically based ideas and research that can ultimately provide cutting edge solutions for reducing stress and increasing mental and physical wellness. It is part of a holistic effort to create a joint collaborative eco-system, in Israel, between academia and industry, in Neuro Wellness.

Bi-National Workshop (Israel & USA)- Integration of Energy Sources
The Ministry of National Infrastructures, Energy and Water Resources and the Israel Innovation Authority, in cooperation with the US Department of Energy (DOE), have announced  a joint workshop on the integration of energy sources.
 
The workshop will include a tour of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory - NREL, exchanging information and discussing possible collaboration with NREL researchers, discussing possible cooperation with representatives of the National Laboratory ARGONE, B2B meetings, and discussing possible cooperation with US companies.

Teva Founders' Prize-   Teva Pharmaceutical awards an annual prize, named
after the company's founders, to researchers who have made a breakthrough in the life sciences. The award winners are chosen on the recommendation of Committee headed by the Chairman of the Board of Teva, in consultation with the President of the The Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities and as a result of the ISF judicial process for granted proposals in the last two years.
