Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development- Date and Avocado crops 2017  
 
The Chief Scientist at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in cooperation with the Plant Council, has issued a call for proposals in the area of:
 
Maintaining and Profitability of Date and of Avocado crops - 2017.

The goal of the research is to identify and deal with problems that may compromise the future profitability of the exports of dates and avocadoes from Israel and would jeopardize the continued existence and prosperity of the market.

ERA-NET: ERA COSYMED- Call for European Research Projects on Systems Medicine
 
The Israel Ministry of Health and ERA COSYMED have published a call, which addresses: "Important health-related societal challenges through effective transnational and interdisciplinary research collaborations."
 
Aim-the implementation of systematic medical approaches, in both clinical research and medical practice by funding a number of high quality research projects that will improve our current knowledge of human health and disease.

Alzheimer’s Research UK funds research into cause, diagnosis/detection, prevention and treatment (disease modifying and symptomatic). Of particular importance is research which has translational potential for patient benefit.

Pre-Announcement Develop platform technologies for pandemic preparedness
 
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on behalf of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) will issue a request for proposals in the coming weeks. The goal of this program is to support platform development for the accelerated response to pandemics, and ideally to be able to have vaccines available for clinical trials during the first pandemic wave.

This event is organized by SiS.net2, the international network of National Contact Points (NCPs) in the field of Science with and for Society in Horizon 2020 in cooperation with the European Commission.

Announcement from The Chief Scientist Office of the Ministry of Education

The Chief Scientist Office of the Ministry of Education is currently considering the possibility of establishing a database of members/senior staff in academic institutions in the country, who would agree review research submitted by researchers and students who do not belong to academic institutions, and who wish to submit an application for permission to collect information for the purposes of research.
