New – ISF call for proposals: Meaningful Learning - Center of Excellence
 
The Israel Ministry of Education and the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) have  initiated a joint program to encourage the development of Meaningful Learning  Techniques, also known as “significant learning approaches for the twenty-first  century".
 
There  will be one submission cycle only. 
Researchers  may apply for this program along with other ISF tracks.
 
The  application must be essentially different than all other submitted proposals that have been financed by the ISF or any other funding agency in Israel or abroad, or that might be submitted in the current academic year to the ISF or any other funding agency in Israel or abroad.
 
The Foundation's website will open to applications in the second half of January.
A more specific message will be sent near the date.
 
 
The deadline for registration:  March 6, 2017 at 12:00 (noon)
Note: along with online registration, an email must be sent with a short description of the main aspects of the proposed study (half a page to a page) in English to [email protected]

ERA-NET  NEURON: Synaptic Dysfunction in Disorders of the Central Nervous System

The Israel Ministry of Health and ERA-NET NEURON have published a call on the following topic: Synaptic Dysfunction in Disorders of the Central Nervous System.
Research proposals should cover at least one of the following areas:
a) Fundamental research on the pathogenesis and/or  aetiology of synaptopathies. This may include the development of innovative or  shared resources and new technologies for prevention, diagnosis, or therapy of  disease.
b) Clinical research, including the exploitation of  existing clinical data sets, to develop new strategies for the prevention,  diagnosis, and therapy for diseases in which synaptic dysfunction plays a key role.

REMINDER- NSF-BSF Calls for Proposals in Earth Sciences
 
BSF- NSF joint funding program with the Division of Earth Sciences (EAR), in the Directorate for Geo-sciences (GEO). Proposals are welcome for:
Earth Sciences core programs:
Geobiology and Low-Temperature Geochemistry
Geomorphology and Land Use Dynamics
Hydrologic Sciences
Sedimentary Geology
