The  Ministry of Science, Technology & Space and JPI HDHL have published a call on the following  topic:  "Interrelation of the Intestinal  Microbiome, Diet and Health".

Proposals  should focus on at least one of the following areas:
1)  the basic understanding of the gut microbiome and its causal role in human
health and/or the onset of chronic diseases including the dissection of  underlying molecular mechanisms.
2)  the functional links between diet and/or dietary components on the composition
and functioning of the gut microbiome and consequent physiological effects on  the host, including individually tailored responses.

Israel Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Israel- Japan- Pre Announcement

During  February 2017, a joint call between Israel  and Japan will be published on the following research topics:

* Using water of different
quality and utilization system for irrigation (secondary and tertiary  effluents, diluted wastewater, and desalinated water).
* Improving water use  efficiency in irrigated agriculture.
* Interaction of irrigation  practices with yield quantity.
* Impact of irrigation and  water quality on the environment (contamination of water resources,  biogeochemistry, microbial ecosystem services and contamination, greenhouse gas  emission).

Since  the submission deadline will be close to the publication date, and will not  ensure enough time to locate a partner and write a proposal, RDA encourages all  researchers to contact your Japanese colleagues ASAP, before the official call   goes out.

As  soon as the call will be formally published, an announcement will be sent
again.
