Reminder: Human Frontiers Science Program – Letter of Intent (LOI)

The Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) is an extremely prestigious program that supports international (preferably intercontinental) collaborations in
basic life science research.
Applications are invited for grants to support innovative approaches to understanding complex mechanisms of living organisms.
Two tracks in this call:
  1. Young Investigators' Grants - for teams where all members are within 5 years of starting their first independent position (and within 10 years of receiving a PhD).
  2. Program Grants - for teams of scientists at any stage of their careers.
Note: Only PIs from the HFSP member countries can be the Principal Applicant. An Israeli can be a member of a team but cannot be the Principal Applicant.

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship primarily funds stipends to newly minted Ph.Ds. to pursue a post-doc in European Member States and Horizon Associated countries (which includes Israel). The program awards grants in virtually all academic areas. BGU researchers can use the Marie Curie Fellowship in one of the following ways:
  • To recruit a European post-doc candidate.
  • To assist their own Ph.Ds. continue their academic development.
Although the program funds primarily post-docs, it does not prohibit more senior researchers from submitting applications designed to allow them to add an important dimension to their research capacities.
An essential element of an application is an eligible institution (usually a  university or research center) outside of your own country, who will be your partner in submitting the application (technically they actually submit the application in order to recruit you).  RDA will provide guidance and support to any researcher submitting an application to recruit a post-doc.

Deadline: September 12, 2018
