The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (IF)
Excellent Opportunities for Out-Going and In-Coming Fellowships
Excellent Opportunity for both Faculty Members and Post-Docs
Individual Fellowships (IFs) are a great opportunity if you are an experienced researcher looking to give your career a boost by working abroad. IFs offer exciting new learning opportunities and a chance to add some sparkle to your CV.
In addition, the IFs fund stipends to newly minted PhDs from around the world to pursue post-docs in European Member States and Horizon Associated countries (which includes Israel). Applicants need a doctoral degree or at least four years of full-time research experience at the time of the call deadline.

researchers can use the Marie Curie Fellowship in one of the following ways:

To fund out-going
fellowship opportunities abroad for faculty members (European Fellowship – see
below)
- To recruit an in-coming post-doc candidate.

To assist Ph.Ds. continue their academic development in an out-going phase.
There are 2 types of Individual Fellowships:

European Fellowships – open to researchers moving within Europe as well as to those coming in from other parts of the world.

Global Fellowships
- fund positions outside Europe for researchers based in the EU or associated countries. The researcher has to return for one year to an organisation based in the EU or associated countries.
All research areas
can be funded. MSCA Fellows come from a wide variety of disciplines – from physics to linguistics, and from health-sciences to mathematical modelling.
An essential element of an application is an eligible host institution (usually a university or research center).

Data Sciences in higher education in Israel
The Council for Higher Education has publicized its intention to launch a program for the development of the field of data sciences in the higher education system in Israel.
To initiate the program, The Council for Higher Education has established a steering committee and part of its work is collecting information about existing activities in this field in the different academic institutions.
In response to the committee's request, BGU is preparing the rellevant data. We ask all researchers to whom this field might be relevant to inform Prof. Bracha Shapira via email of their interest by July 4, 2018.
