The EU-India water co-operation is a concerted effort of India and the EU to address different water challenges such as water purification, waste water treatment and real time monitoring systems in treatment systems by developing new and/or adapting the most suitable existing innovative and affordable solutions for Indian conditions, both in urban and rural areas.
Under this track, BGU is a member in a winning consortium grant:
INDIA-H2O BIo-mimetic and phyto-techNologies DesIgned for low-cost purficAtion and recycling of water. This project will develop, design and demonstrate high-recovery, low-cost water treatment systems for saline groundwater and industrial wastewaters in the arid state of Gujarat, where surface water resources are very scarce.
