The ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems (ERA-Net SES) - Pre-proposals

The Ministry of Energy together with ERA-Net SES (part of Horizon 2020) have announced a joint call.
The focus of the ERA-Net SES 2018 joint call (RegSys) is to support research, development and innovation initiatives contributing to the development of Integrated local and regional energy systems, and to find solutions to efficiently provide, host and utilize high shares of renewables, up to and beyond 100% of the local or regional supply by 2030.
Consortia must be made up of partners from at least two different countries of the ERA-Net SES (please see section 5.3 in the Call Details) one of whom is an EU member state.

SOLAR-ERA.NET Cofund 2 Joint Call - Pre-proposals
 
The Ministry of Energy together with SOLAR-ERA.NET (part of Horizon 2020) have announced a joint call.

The Call comprises five topics:
  1. Advanced industrial PV technologies
  2. Emerging PV technologies
  3. Building and infrastructure integrated PV
  4. Operation and diagnosis of PV plants
  5. CSP low cost and next generation technologies
Consortia must consist of a minimum of 2 partners from 2 different countries participating in the Joint Call (please see pages 4-5 in the guidelines). At least one partner in the consortium must be from industry.

Ministry of Science, Technology and Space – Israel-Italy Technological Cooperation | 2019  

Israeli-Italian research teams are invited to submit Joint Laboratory proposals in the following areas:
  • Tele-Rehabilitation
  • Development and implementation of innovative technologies/methods for ecological monitoring of agricultural or natural terrestrial systems

Research Cooperation Volkswagen - Lower Saxony – Israel  

Funding is provided for scientifically outstanding projects conducted jointly by researchers from both Israel and from Lower Saxony. The cooperation has to be justified coherently and explained in its design.

The funding program addresses different disciplines in different years:

2018: Biological and Life Sciences, Medicine
2019: Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering Sciences
2020: Humanities and Social Sciences

It is possible to apply for interdisciplinary projects. The thematic focus of such projects has to lie in the disciplines addressed in the given year.

Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF) - Diagnostics Accelerator: Peripheral Biomarkers Program (Letter of Intent)

Diagnostics Accelerator is soliciting projects to develop biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias accessible from the periphery.
Industry partnerships are strongly encouraged.

CDMRP has published its call for Pre-Applications for 2 open programs:

  • Copernicus evolution – Research activities in support of cross-cutting applications.
  • International Cooperation Copernicus – Designing EO downstream applications with international partners
Space Technologies, science and exploration:
  • Technologies for European non-dependence and competitiveness
  • In-Space electrical propulsion and station keeping
  • Earth observation technologies - Demonstrating, in a relevant environment, technologies, systems and sub-systems for Earth Observation:
  1. Very high resolution optical EO for LEO and/or high resolution optical EO for GEO/HEO instrument technologies
  2. Competitive remote sensing instruments and space systems
  3. Disruptive technologies for remote sensing
  4. On-board data processing
  5. Advanced SAR/Radar technologies
  • Access to space
  • In-orbit validation/demonstration – Mission design, integration and implementation
Secure and Safe space environment:
Space Weather - forecasting horizons for space weather events in the order of tens of hours or days and to identify potential indicators (or proxies) of extreme events potentially through the joint analysis of interdisciplinary data.
