The Ministry has issued a call for proposals under the topic of: Strengthening agriculture in the Upper Galilee.

Potential topics:
- Production of food products and new sources of income
- Development of new and high-tech agricultural crops
- Establishment of agricultural or animal crops in the area
- Development of advanced technologies for improving agricultural profitability
- Development of unique winter crops

ICRF has published several funding opportunities on its website but the deadlines for submission have not yet been determined.
 
Funds may be requested for clinical or basic research or training, which must relate to cancer and must be conducted in Israel.

The EFSD European Research Programme - Type 2 Diabetes

The EFSD European Research Programme on New Targets for Type 2 Diabetes is intended to stimulate and accelerate European research focusing on the identification and molecular understanding of new targets for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

AACR Career Development Awards for Translational Breast Cancer Research represent a joint effort to promote and support innovative research designed to accelerate the discovery, development, and application of new agents to treat breast cancer and/or for pre-clinical research with direct therapeutic intent.

Change of Course – Exploring New Research Territories between the Life Sciences and Science or Engineering - Proposal Outlines
 
This funding initiative aims to support projects in research fields that require an interdisciplinary approach. The funding will support an additional qualification of the team, which will be motivated by a topic with an overlap of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, technology on the one hand, and life sciences on the other.

Potential research areas: cognitive computing, immunophysics and immunoengineering, nanotechnologies, molecular bioengineering and hybrid devices, bioelectronics, biofabrication and bio-inspired energy conversion.

Please note, research projects must be led by a German researcher.

Israel-France High Council for Science and Technology Research
Israel-France Status Seminars  
 
The Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the French Embassy in Israel invite scientists to two Status Seminars on:
  1. Ageing, Immunity and Cancer
  2. Climate, Change Impacts
The aim of these workshops is to support the development of scientific and technological cooperation between French and Israeli researchers and to strengthen the scientific partnership between research groups from both countries by establishing bilateral research-networks, enhancing research cooperation and promoting the exchange of knowledge between Israeli and French scientists.
