The Batsheva de Rothschild Seminar on
Quasicrystals, Delone sets and Generalizations of Lattices

March 11 – 16, 2018 at Ohalo, Israel



DESCRIPTION: The workshop will consist of four main mini-courses and several additional lectures.
The workshop will take place on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, at Ohalo Manor Hotel.
Mini-Courses:
The space of quasicrystals and applications to mathematical physics, Jens Marklof (Bristol) & Andreas Strömbergsson (Uppsala).
The topology of spaces of discrete point sets, Lorenzo Sadun (Austin).
Approximate lattices, Michael Björklund (Chalmers University).
Fourier quasicrystals, Nir Lev (Bar-Ilan University).
ARRIVAL AND SCHEDULE: The first lectures will be held on Sunday at 16:00 (4PM). The main courses will commence Monday morning. The last lectures will finish by Friday before noon. We will have a shuttle going from the airport to Ohalo on Sunday. This shuttle will have a stop in Tel-Aviv, and another stop at Binyamina's train station, to allow people from the Technion to catch it as well. We will also have a return shuttle on Friday to Binyamina's train station, from where everyone will be able to catch the train home. Information about these Shuttles will be available later.
