Davis Phinney Foundation - 2019 Research Funding Program (Letter of Intent)
 
 
The foundation funds research aimed at therapeutics and lifestyle choices that promote living well with Parkinson’s disease today.

The Marfan Foundation – Clinical Research Program
 
 
 
The foundation funds basic or clinical research to reduce or eliminate life-threatening and quality of life challenges facing patients with Marfan syndrome and related disorders.  Areas of interest include ophthalmology, orthopedics, pulmonology, gastroenterology, allergy and immunology, autism, ADHD, ADD, physical therapy/exercise, pain and fatigue, mental and emotional health, behavioral studies and/or nutrition studies.

Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America: Senior Research
Awards (Letter of Intent)
 
 
The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation funds basic and clinical research in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), or Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The Foundation supports research that increases the understanding of the etiology, pathogenesis, therapy, and prevention of these diseases.

Swiss Bridge Award 2019 - Young Investigators focusing on Immune Cell Therapy (Letter of 
Intent)
 
Swiss Bridge is a private foundation associated with the Swiss Cancer League, the Swiss Cancer Research Foundation and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), and supports high-quality cancer research in Europe.
 
This year, young investigators with projects focusing on immune cell therapy are eligible for application.

Horizon 2020 Spotlight
 REMINDER- ERA NET Calls- Personalized  Medicine
 
The Israel Ministry of Health and EU Joint Programmes, ERA PerMed, and Neuro--degenerative Disease Research (JPND) have published two calls that focus on Personalized Medicine:
 
ERA PerMed Call on Personalised Medicine
 
The current call will comprise three Research Areas: 
 
Research area 1: "Translating Basic to Clinical Research and Beyond"
Research area 2: "Integrating Big Data and ICT Solutions"
Research area 3: "Research towards Responsible Implementation in Health Care"

Personalized  Medicine for Neuro-degenerative Diseases 
 
The Call will focus on Precision Medicine in the following research areas: 
 
Diagnosis
Prevention
Care
 
This joint programme will fund research projects on Personalised Medicine, that may, in time, bring about the delivery of targeted and timely prevention and therapies for patients of the following neurodegenerative diseases:
- Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias
- Parkinson’s disease and PD‐related disorders
- Prion diseases
- Motor neuron diseases
- Huntington’s disease
- Spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA)
- Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA)

Each consortium submitting a proposal must involve 3-6 partners from at least 3 different countries participating in the call.

The training will take place in the RDA meeting room.

Horizon 2020 - Climate: EU-India water co-operation
Prof. Jack Gilron and Prof. Yoram Oren - Department of Desalination and Water Treatment and Prof. Zeev Ronen - Department of Environmental Hydrology & Microbiology
The EU-India water co-operation is a concerted effort of India and the EU to address different water challenges such as water purification, waste water treatment and real time monitoring systems in treatment systems by developing new and/or adapting the most suitable existing innovative and affordable solutions for Indian conditions, both in urban and rural areas.
