Israel Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development –China-Israel Cooperation

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has established a joint China-Israeli Research Fund to fund programs run by academic and industrial teams from both countries.
The programs will focus on applicative research where proof of concept will be demonstrated in China.

Topics include:
  • Agri – Inputs and Machinery
  • During – Growth
  • Post - Harvest
  • Dairy product technologies:
  • Microorganisms and Fermentation
  • Health foods and healthy components
The program offers two tracks:

1. Noah's Ark Mature, which will focus on know-how that has been developed and licensed within the last 5-10 years by an Israeli research institute to an Israeli business partner who is committed to implement the technology in China.
2. Noah's Ark Young, which will focus on research projects that need a period of three years of research before it can be commercialized and implemented.

RDA Deadline: June 11, 2019

Please note:
The Submission is complicated, and several agreements must be reached with partners before submission, therefore it is essential that the contact be informed as soon as possible of the intention of submission.

NEW: The Ministry of Science, Technology and Space and The Austrian Science Fund (FWF)

The Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and the Israel Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) invite researchers and scientists to submit joint proposals for research projects carried out by scientists from both countries in the following areas:

1. Genetics’ and Epigenetics’ Contribution to Human Health:
Genetics and epigenetics contribute fundamentally to gene function in living systems. The paradigm that genetic and epigenetic alterations are two separate mechanisms is now revised by insight into their mutual dependence. Both genetic and epigenetic elements ultimately determine normal and abnormal gene expression. This joint call for proposals focuses on the relationship between genetics and epigenetics in human health and disease.

2. Heritage Science- Cultural and Natural Heritage:
Heritage science is a vibrant inter- and transdisciplinary field, straddling the natural sciences, humanities and social sciences. Broadly conceived, it deals with the world's natural and cultural heritage, and explores a wide range of issues including biodiversity and geodiversity as well as tangible and intangible aspects of history, heritage and culture. This call for proposals focuses on research in those areas, including research with practical contributions to the society, theory-building, and methods development.
