NEW - Chan Zuckerberg Initiative

The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative invites applications in support of open source software projects that are essential to biomedical research. The goal of the program is to support software maintenance, growth, development, and community engagement for these critical tools.

Applications for two broad categories of open source projects will be considered:
● Domain-specific software for analyzing, visualizing, and otherwise working with the specific data types that arise in biomedical science.
● Foundational tools and infrastructure that enable a wide variety of downstream software across several domains of science and computational research.

Grants will be awarded for a one-year duration and can request funding between $50k and $250k.
