Israel's National Insurance Institute invites research proposals in areas that are related to its activities and responsibilities.
 
Priority will be given to research on the following topics:
• Indicators of financial robustness of social insurance schemes.
• Financing social insurance through collection from the public (employees and employers) versus government funding - international models and experience.
• Models for forecasting the composition of the population in Israel in the next 50 years, for various purposes of National Insurance activity.
• International comparisons of focused issues on the agenda of the National Insurance Institute.
• Developing a social model for the Israeli economy, which will provide ongoing assessments of the impact of policy measures on the state of economic welfare, poverty and inequality in society.
• Models of mandatory occupational pension, including aspects of international comparison

National Insurance Institute and the Toronto Friendship Association
 
The National Insurance Institute has issued a call to submit an evaluation research proposal on the topic "Young Parenthood at Risk for Preschool Children".
 
The Special Projects and the Children and Youth at Risk Foundations of the NII, in partnership with the Toronto Friendship Association, are seeking a research team that will accompany young parents at risk in an evaluation study.

The ONR is one of the American Foundations who has a wide budget for varies opportunities. This seminar is given for the first time in BGU, in order to introduce the research opportunities and especially to match a call for proposal to a researcher, by the Director of the below department.  
 
 
 
The Research and Development Authority invites interested researchers to a seminar with Dr. Patrick Rose, Science Director for Synthetic Biology, London Office, of the Office of Naval Research.
 
The seminar will include information on:
1. The Collaborative Science Program ,which provides financial support for workshops/symposia organized to convene world leaders in a specific field to discuss issues, challenges, and future expectations in the specific field.
2. The Visiting Scientist Program ,which offers financial support for travel to the USA to meet with academia/industry/government and strengthen existing collaborations and realize new partnerships in an effort to jointly advance the cutting edge basic research projects.
3. The Naval International Cooperative Opportunities Program , which provides a grant to conduct basic research at non-US institutions and is intended to support cutting edge, blue sky, high risk/high reward basic research projects that have the potential to be innovative and disruptive in the field.
 
The seminar will be held on June 13, 2019 at 9:00 at the RDA meeting room,
following which, Dr. Rose will meet with any interested researcher in one on one meetings (to be coordinated in advance).

Horizon 2020 Spotlight

 

European Research and Innovation Days- 24-26 September, 2019
 
European Research and Innovation Days is the first annual policy event of the European Commission, bringing together stakeholders to debate and shape the future research and innovation landscape.
Speakers will include ministers, commissioners, members of European Parliament, researchers, and surprise guests each day.
 
The event will be central to finding research and innovation solutions for this great transition  by working across polices, setting the direction, spurring innovation and triggering investment. It will be the moment for all stakeholders to meet and co-create the strategic priorities for the European Commission's investment in research and innovation.

About the ERC-Synergy Scheme:
The aim is to promote substantial advances at the frontiers of knowledge, to cross-fertilize scientific fields, and to encourage new productive lines of enquiry and new methods and techniques, including unconventional approaches and investigations at the interface between established disciplines.
