Spring is here! Whaling City Sound has some exciting things moving forward into the summer
5/7: John Stein at Cork Wine and Tapas
John Stein and bassist Dave Zinno will be performing at Cork Wine and Tapas on Thursday, June 4th. The venue is located at 90 Front St., New Bedford, MA. Doors at 7pm. Stein and Zinno will also be performing at Cork on June 4th, July 2nd and August 6th.
5/11: Dave Bass and Greg Abate at Piedmont Piano Company
Greg Abate and Dave Bass present an evening of standards as well as their own original work, including tracks from their JazzWeek Top 10 recordings, Motif and NYC Sessions. The performance will be taking place at Piedmont Piano Company, 1728 San Pablo Ave., Oakland, CA on May 11th at 8pm. Pre-sale $20 Door $25
5/23: The Greg Abate Quartet performs at Chan's
Saturday, May 23rd The Greg Abate Quartet will be performing selections from "Motif" at Chan's located at 267 Main St., Woonsocket, RI. Doors at 8pm Tickets $15
5/28: Jason Miles NPR interview on WVIA
On Thursday May 28th Jason Miles will be interviewed on the northeastern Pennsylvania NPR affiliate station WVIA at 9:30PM. Be sure to tune in here
6/2: Andrea Motis and Joan Chamorro album release
Whaling City Sound is excited to announce a release from their newest artists' Andrea Motis and Joan Chamorro. Feeling Good, their latest release with WCS, is a recording of live performances throughout Barcelona, 2012. Read more here to find out about this incredible duo
6/13: Jason Miles at New Bedford Jazz Festival
Jason Miles will be on the main stage at the New Bedford Jazz Festival performing selections from Kind of New on Saturday, June 6th. The festival kicks off at 2 PM and will be taking place at the New Bedford Harbor Commission; 52 Fisherman's Wharf New Bedford, MA.
