I would firstly like to thank you for taking an interest in my work, it really means a lot to me. 
 
In this "shout-out" I have images from my sold out Head On Photo festival workshop, a link to a radio feature I did on macro photography and a team up with the Threatened Bird Network.

 

Head On Photo Festival Workshop

 

Last month I teamed up with Australian Wildlife Displays to hold a unique macro/portrait animal photography workshop especially for the Head On Photo Festival.  The course booked out within two weeks, my 12 students were absolutely fabulous and the images they took were outstanding.
 
We are planning to conduct the next one in September, so if you are interested we have started a wait list which is filling fast!
 
I also did a presentation at Sydney Town hall where I talked about my past and present photography projects and brought my pet Cockatoo along to meet everyone!
 
 

 

ABC Radio National

 

Last month I worked on a little feature with ABC Radio National's lifestyle show Blueprint for Living.  Presenter Michael Williams met me at the Sydney Botanical gardens and we talked about macro photography techniques and I gave him a lesson in how to photograph insects.  You can listen and read the feature here.

 

Threatened Bird Network

 

In April BirdLife Australia’s Threatened Bird Network (TBN) ran an art exhibition, titled Birds + Us, to celebrate its 20 year anniversary, to thank all its committed volunteers, and highlight the achievements of the TBN.
 
The exhibition incorporated a range of mediums from 39 artists from around Australia who generously donated a percentage of their sales to the TBN. Themes of the exhibition were the plight of threatened birds, working with birds and from local to global.

 
My Regent Honeyeater print was part of the exhibition & to continue on from it I will donate 20% of online sales to the TBN.
