NEW PROGRAM: Information as Fuel - Call for Notice of Interest

The program will fund experiments, with accompanying theoretical effort, in combinations of quantum mechanics, (non-equilibrium) statistical mechanics, computation, and biophysics, broadly concerning the relationship between information, the ability to perform work, and the enactment of computation.

Experiments for funding will be chosen through a three-stage proposal process: the first stage - submitting a "Notice of Interest."

Submission of this notice will serve to identify individuals and groups interested in the Information as Fuel program and qualify those groups to request small proposal-development mini-grant funds for the purpose of submitting collaborative proposals.
